A Generous Snowdrop Donation!

Lady Dalhousie from Brechin Castle has generously donated several thousand

single and double snowdrops to the Explorers Garden, Pitlochry.

Julia Corden takes up the story "Lady Dalhousie was brought up in Pitlochry and is the daughter of Major Sir David Butter of Clunniemore. She's therefore has a strong connection with this area. I'd like to thank her for her kind donation - these beautiful bulbs will be planted by our team of Garden Volunteers in drifts so they can naturalise near the new stone wall feature in the garden"

Plant Hunters

Hunters History

The Plant Hunters were not just botanists, they were adventurers and explorers. They had to be tough to survive the conditions they faced in far-flung corners of the world. They survived shipwrecks, sieges and slavery and battled with pirates, escaped convicts and hostile natives.
