The John Stewart Society

Kenneth Ireland, Patricia Heneghan
and John Stewart (Theatre Founder)

kenneth-ireland-patricia-heneghan-and-john-stewartThe 10 founding members of The John Stewart Society deserve a standing ovation, having raised £33,000 for PFT in 2011, and having pledged support to PFT totaling £110,000 over the next three years!

With membership limited to 100 people at any time, The John Stewart Society – named in honour of PFT’s founder – provides a select group of supporters with an opportunity to make an important contribution to the development of PFT’s reputation for excellence and to help to shape its future.

In recognition of your support, we will offer each John Stewart Society member a tailored programme of stimulating and enjoyable opportunities, providing special insights into the life of the Theatre in the Hills. In short, we want those who join The John Stewart Society to become highly valued members of the PFT family.

Unlike theatres in major cities which have a mostly local customer base, our audiences tend to be more widely geographically dispersed. In recognition of this, The John Stewart Society programme will be personalized to ensure that all members get the most from their membership, however frequently you visit Pitlochry.

If you would like to find out more about joining The John Stewart Society, please contact Fran Norris or Annie Hibberd by post at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Port Na Craig, Pitlochry, Perthshire PH16 5DR, or by phone on 01796 484600.

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
