Andy Shaw

andy-shaw_father-and-son-and-holy-boatANDY SHAW has been exhibiting annually here at the Theatre for some years now and in this exhibition of his new work, Andy has concentrated mainly on his figurative work with forays into other subjects in his own naïve & quirky style, now recognised as collectable & very sought after. Andy exhibits regularly with the Kirkcaldy Museum & Gallery; Harbourmaster’s House, Dysart; Frames Gallery, Perth & various galleries in Scotland where he had both solo & shared exhibitions of his work. He was the Artist in residence at the Adam Smith Gallery & is a member of Visual Art Scotland. His paintings are to be found in public & private collections worldwide. He approaches each painting as if it was his first, each new challenge. His favourite piece being the one he has just finished. This encourages him to say with enthusiasm “Right, What Next”

History

From 1951 to the 21st Century...

Discover our history "When staying in Pitlochry during the early part of the war, I chanced to see a stately house with a fairly large garden, quite close to the town. I at once realised that here my dream theatre might well be established in this fashionable resort right in the heart of Scotland"… John Stewart, Founder of Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
