RUTH WALKER has been painting for many years and is a member of Dundee, Broughty Ferry & Monifieth art societies. She works mainly in oils doing commissions mostly of animals and exhibits locally. In 2007 Ruth was a commended finalist in the S.A.A. artist of the year competition. She lives in Monifieth with her partner John, children Rowanne and Timothy and dog Daisy. At present Ruth is working in a primary school as a classroom assistant. She has exhibited her work in exhibitions at Dunkeld, Friockheim, Carnoustie, Dundee, Broughty Ferry, St Andrews, Kinblethmont Gallery in Arbroath & the Aberfeldy Gallery. Ruth has also exhibited her paintings at Cancer Research Exhibitions and has had a joint exhibition in the Parrot Café Dundee as well as two successful solo exhibitions in Perth Theatre & The Dundee Rep. Theatre. This is Ruth’s first time exhibiting at Pitlochry and we are pleased to welcome her to this venue.
